West Bengal has declared the result of class 10th board examination 2021. 100 percent of students have passed the examination. Students can check their results on wbresults.nic.in and www.wbbse.org.
West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has declared the result of class 10th Madhyamik Board examination 2021 in a press conference at 9am, today. All the students have passed the examination. The class 10th board exam was cancelled this year due to the pandemic. The result is prepared on the basis of two-fold 50-50 criteria. Wherein 50 percent weightage is given to the marks students have scored in 9th class examination and remaining 50 percent weightage is given on the basis of the marks students have scored in class 10th internal assessment this year.
The WBBSE president Kalyanmoy Ganguly has informed that the students who are not satisfied with the result shall be given another opportunity for physical examination once the situation becomes conducive but the marks of this result will become invalid if the student avails the second opportunity to improve his/her results. Kalyanmoy has already informed in an earlier press release that no merit list shall be declared this year.
CM of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee has tweeted “Heartiest Congratulations to all the students who successfully cleared the Madhyamik Examination! May you keep shining in the future and go ahead to achieve much more in life.”
This year 100 percent students have cleared the examination as compared to the last year result 2020 wherein only 86.34% students had cleared the examination. As per the result around 10 lakh students have scored above 60% or above marks. And 79 students have scored 697 marks out of 700 but no merit list has been declared this year. The number of girls students is estimated to be higher than the boys in this year’s examination. Around 6,13,849 girl students have appeared in the examination whereas the number of boys were around 4,65,850.
