US Embassy reopens the Visa slots for the Indian Students from 14th June, 2021

Indian Students who want to study in United States can apply for the US visa from 14th June for the Fall semester programmes starting from 1st of August 2021

The US Embassy & Consulates in India has announced that the US Embassy has reopened the visa application facility for the Indian students who wish to study in the United States for the fall semester starting from the 1st of August.

The US Embassy visa application process shall begin from 14th of June with limited July and august students visa appointments at posts across India. Students can visit https://ustraveldocs.com/in to schedule their appointment for interviews. The students who are already enrolled can continue their programmes on or after 1st of August. The students are also advised that prior to their visa interview they are requested to review the I-20 programmes start date.

The US Embassy also stated that the student’s visa is their top priority for the US mission to India and they are making every attempt to facilitate students who are travelling for the Fall semester.

The announcement of reopening the US Embassy visa application has brought a great relief to the Indian students who want to pursue their education in the United States. On 30th of April President Biden had signed the Presidential Proclamation 10199 suspending most non-immigrant travel from India due to the situation created by the second wave of the Pandemic. The students whose visa will be approved by the Embassy can fly to the US 30 days prior to the commencement of their programme.

Students interested in applying for the US non-immigrant visa are requested to visit the US Embassy website to schedule the appointment for the interview. And kindly read all the information available on the website before starting the application process.
