The Education Minister finally announced the JEE Mains new dates of the third and fourth sessions of the JEE Main entrance exam 2021. Third session will be held from 20-25 July and Fourth session from July 27 to August 2, 2021.
Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank While addressing the students through social networking website Twitter announced the dates of the much awaited two sessions of the JEE Mains 2021. He announced that the third session which was earlier scheduled to be held in the last week of April will be held from 20 July to 25 July, 2021. And the fourth session which was earlier scheduled to be held in the month of May will be held from 27 July to 2nd August 2021.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had postponed the examination due to the second wave of the Pandemic. Minister emphasised that the safety of the students is his top priority. JEE Mains will be conducted 4 times this year. Students can appear in all 4 sessions. The best score from all four sessions will be considered for the admission to the BE, B-Tech, B-Arch and B-planning. JEE Mains 2021 is one of the main entrances to get admission in the top engineering college of India.
The Education Minister further announced that the students who had failed to apply for the examination due to pandemic or any other reason will be given 3 days’ time by the NTA to register for the JEE Mains application form 2021. Students will also be given the option to change the centre allotted to them in these 3 days’ time for their convenience.
He further announced that the exam was earlier conducted in only three languages but now the exam will be conducted in 13 vernacular languages. Now the students can also pursue these courses and become doctors and engineers in their mother tongues. The further announced that the number of centres has been doubled this year compared to last year keeping in mind the safety of the students. Now students and NTA that conduct the examination can easily follow the SOP guidelines created for the safety of the students.
Students were also waiting for the announcement of the date to start the registration of the NEET examination but no such update came from the side of the minister. It is speculating that the date of the NEET might be postponed which is scheduled to be held on 1st August 2021, since no update came from the minister. NTA has updates the notification on the official websites. Students who are interested in applying for JEE Mains 2021 remaining two sessions can apply within the next three days for the third session i.e. from 6th to 8th of July 2021.
