NCERT announces doctoral fellowships in the field of education

NCERT invited applications for the award of doctoral fellowship in the field of education. The last date to apply has been extended upto 15.01.2022. There are a total 10 fellowships out of which 4 are reserved for Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs).

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has invited applications for the award of doctoral fellowships in the field of education. There are 10 fellowships out of which 4 are reserved for Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) one each for Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar and Mysore. The last date to apply has also been extended upto 15.01.2022.

The fellowship will be given for research in the following areas: Teacher Educator’s Education, Education of the Disadvantaged, Classroom Processes and Practices, Curriculum Areas, Education for Peace, Psycho-Social Development of Children, and Any burning issue in school education.

Candidates who have scored above 60% of marks in both their graduation and post-graduation and who are not above 35 years of age and registered for PhD. Degree in a recognized university/ or working towards their PhD registration are eligible to apply for this fellowship. If you meet all these three conditions you can apply for the award of the NCERT doctoral fellowship.

The amount of the Doctoral fellowship will be Rs. 23,000/- for the (non-NET qualified candidates) and Rs. 25,000/- for (NET qualified candidates). Candidates will also receive Rs. 10,000/- as contingency grant per annum during this period. The fellowships will be granted for the period of 3 years.
