The New Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while taking the charge of the Education ministry said he will focus on time bound implementation of New Education Policy to achieve its key objectives
The New Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan who has recently taken the charge of the Education Ministry replacing his predecessor Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has promised that he is committed to implement the New Education Policy (NEP) in the time bound manner to achieve its key objective.
He said he will focus on the implementation of NEP, which the Modi government had promised to implement since it came in power in 2014. He and the other three ministers of state (MoS) of education who also took charge, Annapurna Devi, Subhash Sarkar, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh reviewed the progress of the New Education Policy. All these four ministers had a meeting with the heads and the top officials of the autonomous educational institutions like CBSE, KVS, UGC, AICTE to review the progress of the implementation of the New Education Policy.
He further said that the NEP has been introduced after 34 years which is a result of the promises that the Modi Government had made in 2014. He said, “today he has discussed and ensured the bright future of 30 crore students across the country by implementing & achieving the objectives of the NEP in a time bound manner. He further said he is committed to implement the NEP and take it to the ground and way forward the measures already taken by his predecessors.
He further said he is thankful that he has been entrusted to handle one of the most important ministries, “which was led by people like “Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.” He also pointed out that “there is not a single household in the country for which education is not important.”
Dharmendra Pradhan was earlier handling the petroleum Ministry now he has been recently appointed as a new education minister by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi while reshuffling the cabinet ministers for the government.
